Girls Baby Games Biography
source(google.com.pk)Let’s face it, baby shower games are awkward. That being said, they are also a necessary evil. Baby showers (or really any type of shower for that matter) can get real awkward, real quick. That’s why baby shower games and activities were invented – to help kill that uncomfortable silence that happens when guests don’t know each other very well. Unfortunately most of these games suck.
I’m making a total judgement call here, but I’m going to venture to say that no mother wants her shower guests guessing her weight or how big around her belly is. Am I right? So, in an effort to banish awkward baby shower games for mothers-to-be everywhere, I have come up with ten alternatives to fill the void that are fun and non-embarrassing for all participants involved. You’re welcome in advance.
Non-Awkward Baby Shower Games and Activities
Wishes for Baby
This pretty little free printable list (you can get it here) is a place for guests to write out their wishes for baby. They would be great to put in a little album along with baby shower photos for the mommy-to-be.
Technically Khaleesi is a title, not a name. If you’re looking for baby name inspiration from Game of Thrones‘ Daenerys Targaryen, the one who holds that title, the more obvious choice might be… well, Daenerys. Or Dany. But hey. She has weirder titles. Parents could be naming their daughters “the Unburnt,” “Mother of Dragons,” or “Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men” (Queenie for short), and wouldn’t that last one be awkward when they have to learn to spell it?
According to The Baby Name Wizard Blog there are now 146 American girls named Khaleesi, up 450% from 2011. Before then the name “was completely unknown,” much to my lack of surprise. (Though not a single book reader named their kid Khaleesi before the show started? No one? Bueller?) I can’t imagine the whole “but it’s not a naaaame” thing matters much to the parents who named their kid that. They probably just liked Game of Thrones and/or Daenerys and/or thought Khaleesi sounds cool. More power to you, procreating fellow nerds.
Though it does raise the question of how parents will teach these kids to pronounce their name. According to Dothraki language creator David J. Peterson the way most people pronounce it—”ka-LEE-see”—is wrong. Technically speaking it should be “KHAH-lay-see.” But hey. The world is full of brave souls who buck authority and pronounce things the way they want instead of the way their creators say they should be pronounced. (Looking at you, .gif. The g stands for “graphics.” I don’t know where you’re getting the soft g from. Come at me.)
Godspeed, baby Khaleesis. May you and all the little girls named Arya grow up to take over the world.

Don't worry. You haven't really given birth to Jo-Jo the Dog-Faced Boy. That hair is called lanugo, and it's normal. Lanugo is the first hair the body makes, and in utero it covers the developing child like fuzz on a peach, if that peach had spent the last five months kicking its mother when she was trying to sleep and jumping up and down on her bladder. Experts think the hair is meant to regulate the baby's temperature in the womb, like a shoddy fur coat. Fun fact: If the baby is born lanugo-free, that means she shed the hair in the uterus ... then ate it.
So those are your options, parents: You're either blessed with a smooth-skinned baby who only sports hair on her head because she ate the rest of her body hair during the seventh or eighth month of pregnancy like a disgusting little pre-birth Gollum, or you have a hairy baby. No need to storm the aisles of Babies R Us looking for a razor, though; the hair will go away on its own in a few weeks.
